You Basic-ally Need This

There are three things that I know I can't live without. My dog, donuts, and my basics. Okay, okay, I could live without them BUT that doesn't mean I have to! Let's talk about basics but not just an everyday basic like leggings or a cami. Basic tops. It just so happens a few of my favorites are mostly white and black (I promise I like other colors too, but c'mon!

First up, this charcoal gray tank is giving me all the heart eyes and the pink?! Yes, Please! It's the perfect layering piece, not to mention that tie detail is perfect. If this doesn't give you the spring and summer feels then you better check yourself.

Something else I'm noticing as I show you all my favorite basics, I'm clearly obsessing over all the knotted tops. Oh well! Black and cream, just like I always say you need the perfect white basic you need a cream one too, am I right, or am I right?!

I know what you're thinking... "Brooke! This is the exact same top as the one above!" You are wrong-o! This one has buttons (LOL) and a hood. Oh, and this one is "Oatmeal". I'm all about proving my point. But seriously, this is just what you need for those spring days coming up.

Yep, stripes are totally a basic. I don't care what you say, you make your own rules when it comes to style and your wardrobe. Again, I'm obsessing with the knot but this gray and white combo is giving me life. I can't help it but love all these tones.

Who said basics have to be black and white?! This basic caged front cami brings it home with the pop of red. And THEN you can pair it with your favorite basic cardigan. Here's what I always say... you feel good when you're in clothes you love. If that happens to be basics, solids, toned down patterns... nothing matters unless you're happy.
